We received a report involving a highly sensitive case: multiple individuals raised concerns after discovering photographs of their children, ranging in age from 3 to 14, published on a Slovenian website and an Instagram profile owned by Zala Tomasic without consent. The images appear to have been uploaded sequentially by three different user accounts, resulting in the retention of limited metadata; however, none of it proved particularly useful. As a result, conventional tracing methods were ineffective, necessitating a more investigative approach to identify the original source of the photographs.

Given the serious nature of this case and its potential impact on the well-being of the minors involved, we committed significant time and resources to uncovering the individual responsible for capturing and distributing these images.
A total of six images were analyzed. Before proceeding, we securely redacted all identifiable individuals in the photos to ensure privacy. Unfortunately, metadata recovery attempts yielded no useful information. Despite these limitations, we initiated a detailed analysis of the available visual content. With the cooperation of local community members, we were able to gather promising leads and make significant progress in the investigation.
Our investigation began with a single unprocessed image. Fortunately, one individual in the photo was wearing red shoes, which provided a visual anchor point. In the second image, we applied color enhancement techniques, specifically increasing the red channel intensity. This adjustment revealed a reflection in a nearby mirror, allowing us to identify the color of a car (red) present at the scene.

After that, we searched for a matching door interior and successfully identified a similar design. We then reconstructed and compared both door interiors to confirm a match.
First, we found a matching door panel from the same model and compared it with the door panel from the car from which the photos were taken.

Here is the compared door panel from both cars.

The upper section of the image exactly matches a door design we identified online, confirmed to be from a Toyota Yaris model.
We had one more photo where the upper portion was cropped to protect the identity of minors. However, the lower part of the image included a visible vehicle glass marking, which we proceeded to analyze.

After applying sharpening techniques to enhance the image, we aimed to extract the glass marking as clearly and accurately as possible.

During the investigation, we collaborated with local community members from the area, who assisted us in identifying a suspected vehicle believed to be used by the individual taking photos of the minors. Fortunately, we were able to confirm a match with the exact make, model, and color of the car reported at the scene.

The suspected vehicle has been identified, and our investigation is ongoing. We are continuing efforts to fully expose and hold the individual responsible for these actions.

The individual who took photographs of minors has been identified as Matej Šimič from Ježkova ulica 6, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia.

It is deeply shameful and unacceptable to take photographs of minors and post them online without consent. This kind of behavior shows a complete disregard for the privacy and well-being of children. We hope that this serves as a strong reminder of the seriousness of such actions and that the individual responsible will reflect on the harm caused. More importantly, we hope that such incidents never happen again and that everyone recognizes the responsibility to protect the safety and dignity of children.
